Miho Kajioka was born 1973 in Okayama, Japan. At the age of 18, she moved to California, where she studied painting at the Art Institute in San Francisco, and then turned to photography. In 1995, she left California for Montreal, Canada, where she continued her art training at Concordia University. After a year of covering the 2011 disaster on the Pacific coast of Tokohu - the earthquake, the tsunami, the Fukushima disaster - for Brazilian television, she decided to return to photography and artistic practice. Winner of several prizes, she exhibits in various countries, in particular in Europe: Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland… and takes part in residencies.
