Henry’s work plays with fragments of American photography, cinema and literature to explore underlying ideological concerns. He has an interest in the counterculture and his first monograph, Short Stories, imagines the rise of progressive politics against a background of small town conservatism, as viewed through a utopian / dystopian lens. Matt Henry’s work has been exhibited in Europe, Asia and North America.
