A biting satire of the fashion and media worlds of the 1960s, the film follows Polly, an American model in Paris who has become an icon of a superficial, hyper-mediatized world. Through a mock television report and a series of stylized sequences, William Klein portrays a milieu obsessed with image, appearances, and celebrity.
